# How do I pick a conveyancer?

Conveyancing is the legal process of transferring ownership of a property from the current owner (the seller) to the new owner (the buyer). In Queensland, your conveyancer is a solicitor. Appoint one as soon as you're committed to buying or selling, because they complete the due diligence that protects you throughout the process.

Choose a conveyancer for many of the same reasons you'd choose us as your real estate team: their experience, their track record, and how well they look after you as a client and keep you informed along the way.
